Description

Blossom cookies are soft, chewy peanut butter cookies topped with a chocolate kiss, perfect for holidays or any sweet occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Extra granulated sugar for rolling
  • 2430 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll each ball in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie while still warm.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Use creamy or crunchy peanut butter depending on your texture preference.
  • Make sure the chocolate kisses are unwrapped before baking to save time.
  • Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
