- 6 slices of bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Powdered sugar, for garnish (optional)
- Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and stir gently until the bread is fully soaked.
- Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to absorb the liquid.
- Divide the mixture evenly among the muffin cups and drizzle melted butter on top of each.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and set.
- Let cool slightly before removing from the tin.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup, if desired.
