- 6 slices of bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt

- Powdered sugar, for topping (optional)
- Fresh berries or fruit, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the bowl and gently toss to coat all pieces with the egg mixture. Let it soak for 5 minutes.
- Evenly divide the soaked bread cubes among the muffin cups, pressing down slightly to compact them.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden and the centers are set.
- Let the muffin cups cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh berries or your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for best results as it soaks up the custard better.
