Description

This easy cheesecake recipe delivers a rich, creamy dessert with a buttery graham cracker crust. Perfect for beginners, it requires simple ingredients and minimal prep time.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add 1 cup sugar, flour, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Mix in sour cream until the batter is smooth.
  7. Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.
  8. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly.
  9. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake sit inside with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature ingredients.
  • You can top with fruit, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce before serving.
  • To avoid cracks, do not overmix the batter and bake in a water bath if desired.
