Description

A hearty and flavorful BBQ Bacon Burger stacked with smoky bacon, tangy barbecue sauce, melted cheese, and juicy beef patty, perfect for grilling season.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Set aside on paper towels to drain.
  4. Grill the burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  5. In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  7. Assemble the burgers: Spread barbecue sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce, a beef patty with melted cheese, bacon, onion slices, and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
  8. Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
