Description

A refreshing and cozy apple cider float made by combining creamy vanilla bean ice cream with cold apple cider, garnished with cinnamon sugar, apple slices, a cinnamon stick, and whole star anise for a festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Float Base

  • 1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (about 8 ounces)
  • 1 cup Cold Apple Cider (or sparkling apple cider)

Garnishes

  • Cinnamon Sugar (optional garnish)
  • Red Apple Slices
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Place the vanilla bean ice cream into a tall glass until it is about two-thirds full, creating a creamy base for the float.
  2. Add the Apple Cider: Slowly pour 1 cup of cold apple cider over the ice cream. If using sparkling apple cider, pour carefully to control the bubbles and prevent overflow.
  3. Garnish Creatively: Add a fan of red apple slices, a cinnamon stick, and a whole star anise into the glass. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar around the rim and on top of the float for added aroma and sweetness.
  4. Serve Immediately: Enjoy the apple cider float fresh while the ice cream is still cold and the cider is fizzy, if sparkling cider was used.

Notes

  • For a festive twist, use sparkling apple cider to add effervescence to the float.
  • Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar to suit your sweetness preference.
  • You can substitute vanilla bean ice cream with any vanilla-flavored ice cream.
  • To make it vegan, use dairy-free vanilla ice cream and sparkling apple cider labeled vegan.
