These Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Breasts are juicy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. A healthier alternative to deep-fried chicken, they’re quick and easy to prepare.

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil spray
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to even thickness.
- Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best results).
- In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off. Coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with olive oil spray.
- Cook for 10 minutes, flip, spray again with olive oil, and cook for another 8–10 minutes or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Adjust seasoning to taste—try cayenne for heat.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
