Description

These Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Breasts are juicy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. A healthier alternative to deep-fried chicken, they’re quick and easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to even thickness.
  2. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best results).
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off. Coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with olive oil spray.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes, flip, spray again with olive oil, and cook for another 8–10 minutes or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste—try cayenne for heat.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
