- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally to create 4 thinner cutlets. Pound to even thickness if necessary.
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and combine panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
- Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, then dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray and place breaded chicken inside in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each cutlet and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return to air fryer and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot with pasta or a side salad.
