- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crispiness)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the nuggets in a single layer. Do not overcrowd.
- Spray the tops of the nuggets with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

- For extra crispy nuggets, use panko breadcrumbs.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for a juicier option.
- Adjust seasoning to taste or add a dash of cayenne for heat.
