Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg white and water until frothy.
  2. Add the pecans to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg if using.
  4. Pour the sugar mixture over the pecans and stir until they are well coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  6. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or a liner.
  7. Place the coated pecans in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  8. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  9. Remove and let cool completely. The pecans will become crispier as they cool.
