- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 2 cups cooked pasta or rice
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup frozen peas or mixed vegetables
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers (optional, for topping)
- 1 tbsp butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ham, pasta or rice, shredded cheese, soup, sour cream, milk, onion, vegetables, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix everything until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- If using topping, mix breadcrumbs or crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can swap pasta for rice or potatoes depending on preference.
- Add more vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
- Use different cheeses such as mozzarella or Swiss for variety.
